VMWare ip address issue
 

Hello, I downloaded VMWare and install it but I'm trying to figure out how to setup where it doesn't show the same IP address as my uverse modem. How can I set it up. I chose NAT but it still showing the same ip address. Please help

AT&T Uverse is NO GOOD for stealth.

They said it is dynamic IP but the IP just not change at all. I tried them before and experienced with them myself. Even I unplug the model for more than 24hours, IP is DOESN'T change.

You need to looking for other ISP if you want to do stealth.

Any recommendations on which ISP that I need to go with to make this work. I have 1 stealth account that I had for 2yrs now. Trying to run multiple stores.

I have Comcast and it is great for stealth (just do not opt for the modem/router combo).

Actually any ISP that provides dynamic IPs would be fine (TWC, Optimum, Cox).

You just need to see if they are available in your area.

If ISP is not the route, you can still use other methods such as dongle, phone tethering, or even dial-up service.

- MiFi
- Dongle
- Clear
- Cell phone tether

So once I change ISP, this should fix the issue that I'm having with the ip address, right?

I have read over and over. What I read that if you switch over to VMware host or NAT it would have it's own ip address and it would not associate the two ip addresses. Also I see alot of ppl say they are running XP. I loaded windows 8. Any particular reason to use a certain OS?

I mean read and learn how to change your IP. It's nothing to do with windows XP or 7 or Linux. It is about your ISP and the setup connection that you use

The OS you use in VMWare has no control in changing your IP address.

A VMWare out of the box comes with a virtual switch. That is why you have two options; NATing or Bridging.

If you are hoping to get two different IPs; and I mean Public IPs, then expect this miracle to have happened from your ISP. You can only achieve this when you bridge the connection.

You are far from concluding your 101 in A+ and Basic VMWare.

I use different browsers to appear different.
