Buying / Selling - 2 accounts, 1 card
 

Hi all. I've been searching through the forums and reading the Amazon Ghost book but I haven't found any answers yet...

I've had an Amazon account for a long time that I use for buying - the seller's portion was restricted. Just opened another (stealth) account that I'm using for selling.

I'm using a NetSpend pre-paid debit card with this second account. What do you think of using this same card as a payment method for my first account? Any chance of Amazon linking the two through this debit card?

shouldn't use same card

why don't you make buying account into a selling account ? How was it restricted ?

amazon will link if:

-same ip (this may take time for block)
-same card (instant block within few hours)
-same bank (instant block within few hours)
-same address (this may take time)

I was selling adult DVDs on existing Amazon listings. Didn't know any better at the time...long ago.

Can't make the buyer's into a seller's account - can't even log into "seller central" with that one.

Is it the exact same card number on the card?

If so that is going to get you linked very very quickly.

I just wanted to make sure that I was reading it correctly. Seems like a very very basic question so thought I should double check it.

Reusing any info with cause linkage. Something like the same card is a very very strong link. Need to use a VCC. You need to be a new you. Nothing can be the same

Crap! I listed the same address. Duh, I knew better! I just changed it on Amazon - Do you think that will matter?

Likely? Think there's a chance it may not be flagged...should I stay with this account for a while to see what happens? I'd hate to start all over because of a stupid mistake. I know they'll hold my funds for a while if I'm blocked, but I can live with that - not that many sales yet.

Are you suggesting the OP never bothered to read the ebook or perhaps skimmed through the book and didn't bother to read the very basics?

Hmm damage is done - never know what will happen later on but if you are still surviving, should be ok.

Best to have few other CLEAN backups going.
