If your using a wireless printer I would consider that as a possibility. Any wireless machine will have a mac address. Perhaps that is how you got linked. As for the public wifi hotspot, I have logged on to at least 25 public computers in libraries and hotels in my travels and have never had an issue or account on ebay, or Amazon deleted, or suspended.

Not everyone but chances go up with the use of public IP
