Help. I cannot log in my US amazon account.
 

I just opened some US amazon accounts last week, and everything was going well. But until yesterday, I cannot login almost all my accounts, said that the email and password combination was not right. I am sure the password is right.

And one of my accounts has been closed, does this mean my other accounts would be closed later?

This means that Amazon has DELETED your accounts. I hate to tell you this, but that means any money in them is gone. You can try to email or call them, but it won't make a difference. The only way I've ever heard of anyone getting their money out is by getting an attorney involved.

Amazon deletes accounts when they believe they have evidence that the account is phake, or when they believe illegal activity is taking place on the account - illegal USUALLY meaning selling counterfeits. I specified USUALLY because that is the most common reason, but not the ONLY reason.

In any event those accounts are history.

1. IF your accounts are linked in any way, yes all could be gone - also if you dont have a WORKING cc on the accounts...that can also lead to deletions.

2. Sounds like deletion indeed - money inside these accounts is going to be VERY difficult to get

i say its illegal but thats what they do sometimes unfortuantely

I got my money back from 1 deleted account about 1.25 years ago. I emailed them after 90 days and the payments-investigate@amazon.co.uk team sent it to my bank

But i have no idea if amazon.com is as lenient. I guess they will send money on a deleted account depending on reason it was deleted. I strongly beleive my account was deleted because I refunded 10-20 people in short period of time, like 24 hours

It is legal because you agreed to it when you signed up for an account:

If we determine that a seller account has been used to engage in fraud or other illegal activity, remittances and payments may be permanently withheld.

Amazon in the US has not been very lenient with this. I have only known one person to get their money released and that was after getting an attorney involved. I have heard of a few others that claimed they called Amazon and got the money released, but I don't know if those stories are true or not. Since Amazon will not normally talk to you once an account is deleted, I'm not sure what to think.

It never hurts to TRY, but don't count on it.
