Getting A new Mac address

Hello guys,
I need to create a new stealth amazon account, and following the guide it says that i need a new mac address, I have 2 questions about this,

First, does it matter if I get a USPS Wireless NETWORK adapter vs the cable eather net adapter to get a new MAC address??

Second, I am using a Modem/router 1 piece service, can i buy and connect a new router to the Modem/router in order to get the new MAC address??

As far as we can see, MAC address is not logged by amazon. Please check other threads on this topic.
