Amazon payment reversal
 

I have 2 Amazon stealth accounts. Everything was going great and then they got linked to a banned account and suspended. Both accounts had the funds transfered a few days before suspension. The funds showed up in my bank accounts. Suddenly, the funds were reversed and withdrew under a transaction called "Amazon transaction reversal".

The funds do not show up in either account. I called Amazon and they said they did not perform this reversal and to contact my bank. I contacted my bank and they asked if I wanted to dispute it. I said yes. (Seperste banks for each amazon account). I only did this for one amazon account because they reversed a $900 payment.

What should I do? The funds are not in my bank and do not show up in my Amazon account. The accounts are suspended, not banned.

Really bad news about this problem. I always worried that Amz could do this to me, but never did.

Easy to say, but in future you must be at your bank (online) at about 6:30 am. When the funds arrive, you transfer them out immediately at 6:31 am to a different bank, unconnected to Amz.

The original bank Amz paid must have no overdraft or facility to debit also.

For Amz to say they did not perform the reversal is a joke, as it clearly says transaction reversal. Amz lie.


Was the linking of the accounts a mistake on their part?

This is what amazon can do, and as eBay King says, move the money quickly. However I believe amazon have only up to noon to do the reversal of the payment, but in the terms you have with amazon they have authority to charge your credit card or debit your bank account( in the UK is called a direct debit) at anytime. The money will show back in your amazon account within 72 hours.

If it shows up on your bank that it was a reversal then Amazon did reverse it.
Although it might not show up on Amazons side as a reversal as yet until Amazon
receive the confirmation.

The person on the phone to you does not know what they are talking about because yes of course they do these things all the time.

They did this to me on one of the recently locked out accounts. Got locked out 5 days after the disbursement began. 2 days after the money cleared they pulled it out. (This is also something new from amazon, had never experienced it before). They left my account overdraft for 4,000us (I had managed to move most of the money). Sent them another email and they put the money back (or reversed the chargeback).

Alright thanks guys.

I will wait a few days and then contact Amazon again. Hopefully by then it will show up on Amazon's side and they can reverse the chargeback and give me back my money.

Or at least be deposited back in my Amazon account and given to me after 90 days during suspension.

If suspended then your chance goes up (not deleted) but you will need to locate where the funds are - perhaps in transition currently

Why would AMZ reverse payment ? Was your account negative or any other issue ?

Many accounts get suspended but reversal is not usual... How much time amazon has to do reversal after funds initiate ?

True, reversal is very unusual.

Maybe they do this when they have concerns about if orders have been dispatched or if a large amount of claims have occurred.

Micky said it is up till noon to do the reversal.

Best thing to do is move the money when it comes in to be safer.

If the account disburses say on Wednesday, funds leave 1 day later Thursday (as always) and the account is suspended on Friday amazon will try there best to reverse the payment.

The accounts had no returns pending and no negative feedback. Just a couple positive feedbacks. I can understand why Amazon reversed payment to cover any chargebacks and returns but the money does not reappear in either of my Amazon accounts. I was hoping it would show up and I would get it after 90 days.

The link has already been established
