new amazon uk veifictions on new seller accounts??
 

hey all long time no visit here,

i have been on amazon using about 20 amazon uk seller accounts selling little bits on each account, using maybe one or 2 pro accounts,

everything was going great but now i see amazon has changed its opening of seller accounts system???/ you now need to send in

1.uk drivers licenece
2. genuine utility bill,(no less than 3 months old)

and also verify small amount of money transfered into the bank account (same as paypal)

has anyone any experience with this yet??? what about usa amazon usually they get hit with all this first???

would love to chat about this will be spending the next week or so trying to get one account opened with this new system,

Out of the 20 accounts you currently already have open, did any now ask for ID or just for the new accounts you are trying to open?

I see the small deposits would not be a problem, but the rest of the ID may be a problem...

Worth the money to get into the rest of the forums.
Just one idea or point in the right direction is worth the money.

Even seasoned veterans here still pay as a donation to keep the site up and running. Without this site, many people would have given up :rip: and gone out to deliver pizza instead. :bolt:

OK johnboyz26, these are the new regulations that amazon eu have imposed due to eu banking and money laundering laws as amazon are classed as a money provider. There is no way around this. Basically you get one shot with your passport.

no only the youngest one has asked for this verification, which must mean anyone with old accounts should be able to keep them going??? or is it just a back log??

hey micky. as in drivers licences are no good??? only passports?? will they ask for passport even after driving licence??

and yeah for sure i will be signing up for the VIP memembership again, havent been on here in ages!!been at this for 10 years now!! time to get reading, reading reading!!! not being able to make new amazon selling accounts is not an option for me there has to be a way!!

Driving Licence is an alternative to passport, but I have only submitted passports.

Trust me dude there is no way, passport DL,utility bill etc. This is EU banking regulations, not amazon.

Do we know what Amazon (UK) do with the info? Do they have access to the DVLA database for cross reference? If not, then what use is photo id to them?

Yes they have access like many other institutions, also passport info.

Thanks, I didn't realise they could get that info. And I'm guessing if you don't have a driving license or passport you can't sell. Any other I.D. which might do? I can't think of any.

I would assume you are correct, but most people have a passport.

Some comments are unbelievable, yes amazon have access to numerous databases as they are classed as an EU bank. If for example you have a South Korean pp they will ask for a copy of it, plus household bills etc to prove your identity. If they don't like what they see they will not open your account, SIMPLE

so what if someone uses a canadian id or say a chinese or a singaporean ID
does that mean they have access to all these databases.I think they might have it for EU or maybe US but what about all these countries or many more like them

thats what I say ... they can't possibly have access to all databases in the world.

In my opinion they don't even care since it is not a policy the company has made up. Its just required by european law, so they don't bother.

Noone knows for sure, so why don't you just try it out like I do ?

Hi seppl42, how old and how active is the account you mentioned here? Also did you provide DE id numbers only? Have they asked you for any other docs?

5 Months old, sold 2-3 K a Month. After 3 months they asked for additional proof. I had 28 days to provide the papers. Did not and switched to another account. Provided german details.

The Mail said you cannot use "Amazon Payments" anymore if you don't provide your ID. I deleted all bank and creditcard info from the acc and let it sit.

However, they still owe me a few bucks and don't pay them out because I don't have a valid credit card on file anymore.

Maybe I should reactivate it and see if they pay me then or not ^^

I can still sell with that account if I would though ...

as said above, they ask for copy of the passport, utility bill etc.
