Will Amazon check your MAC?
 

After reading the Amazon Ghost, I made a decision to start everything from beginning. I have to sell more than 40 items per month, so I need a professional account. Here what I did and tell me if I could do more.
1. Opened a new company (LLC)
2. New EIN
3. New address
4. New bank account with new card
5. New modem

I will keep the inventory ration 60% new items and 40 old

Here is the question:

If I use my old laptop, just switching the user account (I use Apple's Mac Book Pro). Can they "catch" me because it's the same machine?

Some people I have spoken to say that they dont bother hiding MAC addresses, which is it?

Some people say that using different user account on PC is ok and works, but when i try it like this i always got suspended. Best way is install vmware, it is proven to work and you dont have to change your mac on pc or modem, it just does the job right.

I am not familiar with Amazon Ghost but I use virtual machines.
Virtual machines has their own MAC address.

If you use the same machine as a different user you will be OK, create a user say USAAMZ and you will be fine. I always add different browser say 'opera' and use this only for my amazon account. Amazon don't track the MAC address.

Tracking mac is impossible as its only ised at 2nd level of osi model which means end to end node like on lan connection theres no way anyone from outside of your local network can see it

Well, I did this when I opened first account;

- Deleted all browser history
- Changed IP address (and wrote down previously used ones)
- New user account with different password etc.
- New user account with different display
- Different browser

I think you're safe if you do that.

YES.. they check.. especially your accounts are new and suspicious. They will delete your accounts.

For anyone with access to a Starbucks wifi access point, try to login into one if you don't believe me, your wifi card's MAC address will be RIGHT there in the URL on your browser. This is basic scripting; they don't need you to hand over your laptop to get this one done.

Anyone without basic knowledge of how networking and ID'ing works should not pass out bad advice.

MAC address is how many hackers and scammers who otherwise perfectly covered their tracks and ran roughshod, were caught! Look it up if you don't believe me.

no they dont check mac address i have always been using the same laptops for easy 3-4 years in a row (until its get to slow ) then get new laptop

all you need to do is creat a new windows user account for each new account once you get suspended delted that user account or name deleted so you can keep and eye on it and make sure you get your final payment from amazon

thats my 2 cents
