Advice/Help needed for new account creation
 

Hi, new to the forum so sorry if I could have found a similar situation on another thread, I have already purchased Amazon Ghost as well. I just have a specific situation that I need some advice on.

I recently had my account closed on Amazon due to some complaints about counterfeit items, that were actually incorrect, and i suspect were just misinformed customers or annoyed competitors. The account was going well and turning over £1000 a day minimum. Received a message out of the blue, telling me the account was suspended, and the subsequent review was turned down within a few hours.

Luckily, I had a partner with me in this "business", but only my name and details were listed on the account anywhere, so he can open a new account up under his name and details. This eliminates the issue of having to create a whole identity for the new account, but I am unsure of the best method to use for actually accessing the account (computer and location). Ideally, we would want to be able to run from the same building as before, and I can get a new "clean" computer no problem, but obviously I have the issue of the IP address being from the same location etc.

What would be the best option here? I could, if i really had to, install a new phone line and new internet provider. I assume this would completely combat them being able to match the IP addresses? Or should I just go down the route of buying a secure VPN for a new computer? Any advice on the easiest/cheapest/fastest or most secure method for being able to start up selling again would be really appreciated.

Firstly you don't need a clean computer. This can be done by creating a new user account. You state you purchased Amazon ghost. Are you sure you read it carefully?

As long as your physical IP address is different it does not matter if it's from the same location. If the 4-5 characters are different from the blacklisted IP you are good to go.

I would strongly advise you to thoroughly read the stealth guide before attempting anything.

Hi and welcome to the forums.

You can check you IP if its dynamic or static. Check your ip, write the number (whatsmyip.org) turn of the modem and check the IP again. If its change you have a dynamic IP and you are good to go. The other way is a 3g dongle from vodafone etc.

Thanks for the replies. I did skim over Amazon Ghost, but I quickly realised that i have the luxury of not having to create a new "identity", so I wanted to try and understand which bits applied to me. From the bits i did read, i was under the impression that simply creating a new user on windows was not enough for Amazon to not recogise the machine. I have just checked, and my IP is Dynamic. I have to use a usb wireless adapter anyway, so I will probably just buy a new PC and a new wireless adapter (to stop dns or MAC address issues). Coupled with the new IP that i should receive (due to it being dynamic), is there anything else i should be worried about? I need to get this concrete so the accounts can not get linked, sorry if i am repeating myself at all. Thanks again.

Do never use the same IP you used with your old Account.

Do not list the exact same Items (ASINs) as in your old account. (will get you linked as listings are at 100% match).
To do so, list at least 50% Items (ASINs) that have not been offered in your old account.

Do never use ANY old Info, including bank account numbers and credit cards.

Use a new CLEAN browser installation along with a new user account or even better, virtual machine.

So that's pretty much a summary of the d*** "book".

New IP provider is good and exploration of new stealth addresses to use + new bank, new credit card, and such
