New LLC/DBA for Amazon tax id
 

Hey guys, I have done alot of research about getting past the tax ID questions in Amazon. I wanted to run a couple things by you before I went through with it. I have checked with the IRS website, and Legal zoom, but I figured a third opinion would be helpful also.

So if I am not mistaken this is what I have to do.

1: File a DBA name under what ever fictitious name I choose.

2: Register that DBA name to an LLC.

3: Get some sort of PO box, or mail forwarding address to put as my business address.

4: Register that LLC on the IRS website to obtain an EIN number.

5: Fill in Tax ID questions.

Looks like everything is correct, but in my experience you don't really need to do the DBA part of it if you're going straight to LLC.

You will not need a DBA. You will only need to register your business name when you file your LLC. You plug that info in to amzn acct including EIN , answer tax questions , ect.

DBA is for running a shell operation.

@yomanholy, just get a financial professional if you are looking at a shell operation.

And making comments about MM78 may not help you on replies (just saying) because he is quite well-respected around here...
