| Innler | 08-22-2014 08:38 AM | Ip Address Amazon Hello All , I turn my router to get a new ip adress and track them with an excel spreadsheet, but sometimes it changes apart from the last three or two numbers which sometimes remain the same as the previous address.
So for example I can get : 192.99.99.123
Then I reset and end up with : 192.99.99.293
And only the last three numbers have changed is this risky and can this cause linking between stealth accounts?
Thanks |
| ilcarletto | 08-22-2014 08:56 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon No, this will not cause any risk and you are fine.
You need at least one digit to be different from your previous IP and this will be perfectly fine.
Keep track of all the IPs you are using for each account and try not cross use them between accounts. |

Thanks for the response |
| MICKY H | 08-22-2014 06:26 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon You will be OK, just don't switch your router off now, keep this IP, just like a static one. Keep a note of the Ip's |
| An0nym0u$ | 08-22-2014 07:45 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon A trick to keep the IP static like Micky suggests is to keep the same MAC address associated to the same user account.
For example... Account A
MAC: AB:CD:EF:05
IP: 192.99.99.123 Account B
MAC: AB:CD:EF:10
IP: 192.99.99.223 Account C
MAC: AB:CD:EF:15
IP: 192.99.99.323
If you retain the same MAC addy's with the same user accounts, you can go months without getting a new IP address from your ISP. This all of course, depends on your ISP's lease time. |

A really good thread with this strategy http://www.aspkin.com/forums/ebay-tr...d-numbers.html
its the best way to change ips between account and have the designated seperate ip each time for every account |
| Innler | 08-23-2014 05:16 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Thanks for all the advice
unluckily for me , even when I change mac address I still always get a random IP address..... |
| Innler | 08-23-2014 05:58 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Anything else I could do to keep the same ip adress? |

| Innler | 08-23-2014 06:29 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Hi,
Im using Netgear DGN2200 wireless router
and my internet service provider is Talktalk |
| GreenBean | 08-23-2014 07:43 PM | Re: Ip Address Amazon TalkTalk has a limited pool of IPs.
Maybe consider another dongle if you are running multiple stealth amazon accounts?
:peace: |
| Innler | 08-24-2014 01:59 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon You mean like a usb dongle ?
And what providers are recommended ?
Thanks |
| Innler | 08-24-2014 03:08 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Ahh also made a small mistake just now , after using stealth acc1 I forgot to reset my ip before using stealth acc 2 , but when I went amazon.de instantly saw that I was still signed in and exited the page, didn't get on the seller central page, is it possible I will be linked ?
Worried now.... |

Worried now.... | Yes you are now linked. It may take a week or a couple of months but they will get you for linking accounts. I did the same thing and it took them 2 months before they flagged me for the linked accounts. |
| JamesNorth101 | 08-26-2014 08:22 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Have to be careful.
Routine will eventually set in and you will just do it all naturally.
Double check everything you do for the first few months until it becomes habit. |
| Rippedoffagain | 08-26-2014 08:52 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon So let me get this straight so as long as my MAC address's are all different from each account and my ip changes say just the last set of numbers it would be looked upon as a new seller no linking ? Correct . But I have to make sure that the MAC Address for all accounts do not change |
| Rippedoffagain | 08-26-2014 08:53 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Forgot does this also stand for eBay make sure diff MAC addresses for each account |

Worried now.... | One time is unlikely to cause issue - but do not repeat. |
| Innler | 08-27-2014 05:35 AM | Re: Ip Address Amazon Yes I hope so , keeping it all totally separate now , different mobile networks for each account and I will just tether from my phone this way I have no problems |
