Set up a new account (need urgent help!!)
 

I set up a LLC, have a new computer with virtual machine, changed IP. I have everything ready (address, email, etc.) The problem is the tax information.

I use LLC information for EIN, but for Electronic signature under the tax section, it needs a "signature of U.S. person". I have used my own name before for my other suspended account, to sign this document, can I use my own name or the makeup name? I'm signing this to "acknowledge I am signing the tax document under penalties of perjury", I don't want to get into trouble with IRS or government agency. What should I do here?

Why would you then even consider a made up name?

Because Amazon requires a 'person name' at set up, so I use a makeup name here.

I didn't use any of my old information.

And then Amazon requires legal information, so I use my LLC legal information, but then I need to sign it. Please advise.

I chose sell as individual, and then it asked for all information. It didn't let me change the plan. It automatically put my on professional seller (one month free)... so weird...

Always give your real information to the IRS. Giving the IRS any false information is illegal. You can have as many EIN's as you want as an LLC or Corporation.

The IRS, for an LLC, will ONLY verify that the business name matches the EIN. Amazon will NOT see your real name when they verify the LLC with the IRS.

Yes, i have the LLC name and EIN which I will provide. However, at the end, it wants my electronic signature (a person), so i can't sign my LLC name. If I sign my real name, I might get linked. I also can't sign my makeup name, because this is regarding tax issue(needs to be legal). What's my option?

I am in the same boat. I have opened an LLC and have not used it yet. It is under my name though. I want to transfer it to my boyfriend. Can Amazon verify this with the IRS ? Can they see that it is me behind this LLC? Would they do such a thing ? How can we sign ? under his name when it done ?

In the line for the signature put the LLC name. It said that it could be a person's name or a legal entity. That is how i did it.

@REFLECT it doesn't say it can be a legal entity. it says "signature of U.S. person". When did you enter it? I can only imagine when they are going to check and ask you to correct it

As imboxsy said, an LLC is a "legal person". I did it last week and was confirmed with IRS record.
