new amazon account linked...How?
 

Made a new amazon stealth account. It was up for about a week with no activity. Listed 20 items. Only 2 were same but with new picture EXIF data removed...or at least supposed to be as I had outsourced the work on that account.

I logged in from my laptop. All new info to check on the account twice. Nothing happened. I went in again and worked on the act put in keywords etc. sent a question to support and next day suspended...LINKED!

How are they linking? I'm starting to think you need a new computer to get back on Amazon.

It seems like when it was being worked on from another computer it was ok but go linked after Used mine.

Any ideas?

Did you use the same user on your laptop? Or did you have something like VMware to make and use new account? Did you change your IP?

You'll need to give more details about the account if you want a more accurate reason they were linked

You don't need a new computer, a new user account does pretty much everything apart from browser fingerprinting.

It could be your IP address. Does your IP definitely change.

And as stated above accidentally logging into the same user account as before can link you. This is also true of mobile phones.

You have to make sure you thoroughly go over every piece of detail listed in the stealth book. Amazon is a beast when it comes to linking!

New user, new ip, everything new so I Just don't get it. What could it be?
I did use some of the same products but different pictures. This is 2nd time I tried to open new account and linked.

Did they actually say you were connected to another suspended account? Amazon can suspend you for anything, it doesn't take much so don't necessarily freak out and assume you got linked.

Well then there is this...

I did use some of the same products but different pictures.

Not even sure what this means cause Amazon listings don't need to have pictures added like eBay does...were you posting your own UPC's for your own products?

Go over the stealth guide again step by step, don't miss anything out. I would advise you not to open any accounts until you have read it thoroughly.

It seems that you are getting linked one way or the other. Ie did you use a different account number/sort code? If you log into a same user account as before or a mobile etc then they will link you

Amazon Stealth doesnt cover some steps and one of them is similar listings, even partly sometimes. So, if you listed identical items or at least part of those then that's how you got linked. Also Amazon links by MAC address of your computer, so if you have had your account banned from one of the computers and you never spoofed your MAC address when you logged in with your fresh account then that's how you could have gotten linked, regardless of the fresh browser, IP etc. If you use VM ware and install fresh Windows the MAC address will change but if you install Windows on a partition then it wont be changed. There is actually this step covered in Amazon Stealth Guide; there is also a software SMAC 2.0 for that.

@epimerheus039 their is no way for Amazon to trace your MAC address. You don't have to worry about this. Has been mentioned in a few posts. As long as your IP address is different you are good to go

Have you created stealth amazon accounts at all? MAC step is mentioned even in the Amazon Stlealth book and I have had accounts go down just because they had same MAC address, please dont spread false information.

wrong info. Mac address is not imp now a days. you must have done something that linked u but definitely not for same MAC address.

I have had about 30 amazon accounts and 300 ebay accounts with paypals and I know what I am talking about. Have read all stealth books and forums all over and experimented a lot. That part about MAC address is mentioned in the book as well. It might be true only to some websites as I can see you and the other person are from UK but in US that's not the case, and same is for Amazon Canada.

I do know what I am taking about. Amazon cannot trace your MAC address! I have several stealth accounts and not changed the MAC address.

You are getting linked by another method. You need to reevaluate what you are doing.

As I mentioned it might be due that you have UK Amazon (I am assuming) as I have never tested this beyond US, CA Amazon accounts nor there was a need for that. And I actually meant MAC address of your router all along, not the computer's.

I used 2 of the same products but changed pictures. I thought that was ok? I use my own upc codes. The account was fine until I logged in from my computer and added keywords and send a message to support. I had someone else create the account on another computer. I logged in twice after just to check. Not linked. I would think I would've gotten linked the 2 times i logged in before.

Is it possible to be linked by keywords or the way the listings are worded? I got the suspension notice after I put in keywords and messaged support.

It was deffinately linked to a suspended act. That's what the message said.

I dunno, I have got this from amazon ghost and I have got accounts suspended solely because of what I thought was MAC.

Well, managing 300 is not hard if you have shipstation and you have all questions redirected to 1 email, so I would know where to log in to answer.

Old thread, hopefully someone can answer. Do you change the MAC address for BOTH the computer AND the router? Or did you change just the computer?
