When do add a bank account/when to add EIN?
 

So I've got a few stealths running. Its the first month and I'm making the decision on each account I create to blow and go(fast selling until suspension) or to try and make some that last.

I was curious though, for those of you that do a lot of these and sell over $1k/month at what point do you add a bank account or an EIN? Bank accounts are easy but EIN's with an LLC can get the price up there to keep a stealth account running. Would you add a bank account first and see if you make it through the review or does it look better to add an EIN within the first 30 days and then add a bank account a bit down the road?

The bank account like you said is simple enough. Id go with a VBA at first until the account is running smoothly.
Id never add an EIN before Im actually asked specifically to do so by paypal. No point in wasting one before that point.

I posted this in the Amazon forum. Was looking for sellers on Amazon particularly. ebay/paypal isn't an issue like you said but Amazon has a 30 day clock running for an EIN.

I would add the bank account and add the EIN only when Amazon requests it.

The IRS does not require that the LLC actually be set up before you get the EIN, but once you get it, you MUST follow through and set up the LLC or file the paperwork to have the EIN cancelled.

Does anyone just sell like 45 items on a Ghost Amazon then just forget about the account until the next year? That is what I was thinking about doing to get started.

That is an interesting piece of information right there. How long would you say that the IRS gives you to get the LLC set up? I don't want to push the limits especially the IRS but curious what happens if you don't ever get it set up?
