prepaid cards not working on amazon?
 

My account has been shut down after a year because I am using a prepaid card. I have always used prepaid card so I assume amazon has changed their policy. If this is true, does anyone know how I can get around this problem. Our account is on hold and we cannot send out order until I get this resolved - panic mode. If I get a card from my bank under the company I have started will they know my name from the credit card?

Ok I just found out that I can get a debit card for the bank account i have for this company. But will amazon be able to find out my name if I use a debit card? I have an LLC with Wells Fargo I need to know if I get a debit card if it will work. I am using another name on amazon and my business account on the bank.

Amazon doesn't care to check all that stuff. You will be fine.

Ovidiu - I hope this does not piss you off but are you saying it is ok to use a debit card with my business name on it? the business account will have my name on it. just checking to make sure I will not get caught.

Exactly, at least in the US. The only thing that needs to match is the address. Not sure why you think I'd be pissed off by your question; we can't learn if we don't ask.

Rule of thumb for stealth type stuff is: companies are not interested in digging up all your info and verifying it until you've done something REALLY awful, at which point you have bigger things to worry about anyway.

just want to say thanks to all of you. I really appreciate the help. I am going to use my debit card. Thanks for being patient with my dumb questions.

Do they check whole address or only zip code like most other merchants?

I have not had a problem just using a matching zip code. I have not made the house number match but will in the future

As of today I am having the same exact problem as the OP. I too have a business debit card on the LLC but it has my home address on it which would link the account.

Also my zip code is a long way away from the address shown in Amazon for the LLC. (many states apart...800 miles or more)

zip must match no matter what.

I guess your option is to look at a VCC from the marketplace.

You could just open a mailbox and then change (or add) the account address with the bank to the mailbox address.

Then use your LLC debit card

OP said he had a Wells Fargo account. Easy enough to the get card, then change the address with the bank to the address you will use with the amazon account.
