Amazon lost my return now no refund
 

can someone please help me.i bought a camera from my amazon buyer account.i didnt like it and return it.it has been 13 days they got my return but still havent refunded me.i called they said its processing.now they are saying they will investiate.tracking clearly shows it was sign and received by amazon warehouse amazon provided the lable and ups picked it up.what are my options price of camera is $2560.should i file chargeback

for that kind of money do a chargeback asap and have your bank deal with amazon. if you go that though prepare to deal with the consequences.

did u purchase it from amazon the company or a 3rd party seller? or a fba item?

no i bought it from amazon.com directly.i just spoke with them they said they are investigatinging.look like someone stole the camera in warehouse and didnt process my refund.is it possible?tracking shows signed by warehouse manager though.am i protected thank god i used amazon prepaid return service.any help or comments with similar situation please

Amazon is not going to scam you. Wait for them to investigate. I've never purchased anything from Amazon totaling more than $700, but my best guess is that they have more stringent policies in place when it comes to dealing with items that have that large of a price tag....inuring all the parts are included, that you didn't damage or swap out the item, etc.....

I can't imagine why someone would buy a camera that costs more than the vehicles some people drive without KNOWING they wanted that particular camera, and I would bet Amazon feels the same way.

Larger priced items require an investigation.

You still have time to do the chargeback but be prepared to have all the evidence for your bank.

If you had filed a chargeback, you would have lost goodwill with Amazon and the process would have been drug out another 2 weeks or more. Let it be a lesson to you.

....or there was never a problem to begin with. If I were accepting return of an item valued above $2500, I would take a month or longer to refund the customer. ESPECIALLY if the item had been opened or used in any way.
