name issue?
 

Hi Guys,

Just had a nice bit of luck and managed to get one of my old accounts re-opened. It was originally linked to another account i was running so they nicely asked me to close it, which i did myself by ringing up. Few years later my account was banned so i ran up and opened the other account that i had to close that was perfectly fine.

All seems good with the account. Its 5 years old and has good feedback.

Only problem is the name of the account has a slight mispelling and i went and got married and so my maiden name is different.

I know they are about to ask for documentation. I'm just trying to work out which is my best shot.

Is there something i don't know about regarding which info to send in. Can you get away with bank statements instead as obviously information can be changed. I don't want to fill in the business contact info name until i figure this out. Please PM me if you want to keep info from the forum. I am clued up on the stealth way of accounts. Just not the verification as it's been sometime since i had to open a nother one.

Which surname is on the account?

Maiden name or married name?
You will need to provide photo id for a name change.

Its my surname that's changed though marriage and my first name has a different letter on the end.

Starting to wonder if i might be a bit stuffed!

Bank statements can be changed - as you said OP....you can be creative with documentation...

Which is my best bet do you think driving licence or passport? I'm trying to work out if anyone knows which ones they actually check, thanks
