Message from Amazon UK supply working phone?
 

Hi,
Had a message in my Amazon Messages inbox from someone claiming to be from Amazon support asking for me to supply a working phone number for customer support reasons. This account is several months old now and the phone number supplied would now be inactive, I just responded with Oh thats strange I will look into it.
That was a week a go and today I have 5 more accounts with the same message from the same Amazon representative?

Anybody else getting these?

Just picked up a new sim and will change the number on one of the accounts and ping back a message that I bought a new phone and forgot to update the account.
Probably should add a landline number also as it might look odd just having a mobile for our customer support.
Any phone services out there that can give a landline number but will then forward the call to a mobile?

Hopefully its just calls from Amazon trying to get me to use FBA or paid listings and not a new layer of security they are adding.

Soho66 should be able to supply you with a landline number local to your account location. You can then divert each number to a mobile.

I had one one account too, Soho is not a bad idea. Although you can just have a prepaid SIM for every account, if you miss the call no problem, you can fire up the sim and get them to call you again.

I cant see soho offer free phone number they charge 2.99 per month

why not use sipgate its free with any uk number

You might find more recycled numbers with free services, used to use soho, but prices went up and having multiple numbers costly.

If you can't afford 2.99 per month per account maybe stealth is not for you?

Maybe you just running one or 2 accounts and 2.99 Is nothing what about tthose who running 50 or more accounts ??

50×2.99 that's 149.50 per month can you afford this?

Been using sipgate without any issue they always issue new fresh nunber

That's X50 worth of income as well dude. I can't see £3 to each account making much difference.

So if you use soho or sipgate and you have say 20 numbers,and they are set to divert to your own mobile, how do you know which account is calling you?
If the caller ID is the number of the forwarder ie the number registered with amazon then that could work nicely, you could just add each amazon account number as a contact that way I would know what name to use when I answer the phone.. Not sure if thats how it works though?

Just looked sipgate is not free it only has a 30 day free trial, price looks about the same as soho.

With Soho66 you can add a recorded message that plays before connection which could be used to tell you which account it relates to.
