Default Amazon account holders name Ghost question

If I have a suspended account but open up a new account with new address but only change the first name of the account holder.

Will Amazon still realise from just the surname? I mean, I presume their system can't automatically pick up on the surname. But down the line, would it be noticed and it's always better to use a new name? Or it's fine as long as the first name box field is changed?

If the surname is the only thing that is the same then you would be fine

Everything else would have to be totally different though including the items your selling

So if the items are the same, then it's a big no no to use the same surname?

Your just not going to be able to sell the exact same items regardless.

Amazon are very good at linking by items sold

I would use a different last name too.

Register the account w/ a llc/corporation as the owner, then the name on the account is irrelevant.

As JamesNorth101 mentioned AMZ are very good on linking accounts on items you previously sold. There's a big chance they will link ur accounts... unless if u got 20 new additional items for every one u previously sold.

This is highly item dependent IMO.

If it's items that he was the only seller on, then yes, it's an easy link. If it's items that have 20 offers on them, it's much harder to link that way.

Its much more 1 person who sells 100 of the same items

Gets limited

Go back onto Amazon and then tries to sell the same 100 items again

That causes the link. The number of other sellers also selling the same item doesn't really come into play too much

Well of course, you can't go and list the same 100 items.

If you list like 50 of the same items and like 20 different ones (over time mind you, not all at once, like if you add 10 listings a week) then there's more than enough doubt to prevent action from being taken.

Again, this is assuming you're not the only seller.

50 of the same item and 20 of a different item really won't do it in most cases

Ratio should really be 10 items that are new to 1 old item

Just causing a little bit of doubt won't do it. That is all Amazon needs
