Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | That is correct. Equifax and Transunion said that If I want to remove the address I would need to start a dispute and they will contact the credit issuer who sent them this information.
I have two credit cards with the stealth addresses on them which are still active with two healthy stealth accounts so I am in no rush of changing them as long as they continue to work.
And as others have said debit does NOT show on your credit report. If you put your bank account in negative and ignore them for 3 months that's a different story.
There are mixed feelings about debit with veteran's here. There are some good threads of Taking the Mickey (who is unfortunately no longer active) arguing for and GB against. Its 7 pages long.
My only concern is who this bank address change is available to. Is this address only available to the issuer bank? Does the bank report this address to a banking financial network so although its not on my credit report other banks can see all my past addresses? So If I apply for a mortgage a banker can see dozens of past addresses on this network. Alternatively, the bank may report this information to a Consumer Reporting Agency where certain background checks on you can reveal these addresses.
Heres a list of CRA's: http://files.consumerfinance.gov/f/2...-companies.pdf
The OP in this thread said: "I am using real debit and credit cards as VCC". I think elmo's original response to the OP saying all addresses can be seen is only in reference to the credit cards. How bank address changes for debit works is still a mystery to me.
