Banned from Amazon for seemingly no reason!

Hi everyone, I'm not sure why but my Amazon Ghost account has just been banned out of the blue, after over a year of running well:

"Your account has failed our verification process. As a result, you can no longer sell on any of Amazon’s European marketplaces or access Seller Central. This decision is final and not subject to appeal.

If you have funds in your account, they will be available after any amounts for A-to-z claims or chargebacks on your orders have been deducted. This usually takes about 90 days, but funds may be held longer."

This seems really draconian to me, no communication whatsoever, one minute I'm trading, the next I'm banned.

Any ideas? My main account is still running. I've no idea if they've linked them somehow, I've been very careful.

this seems odd - was this account under a company or sole trader?

If it was a sole trader did you add a utr number? / was the account under a real name?

Was this a stealth account that you sent in information?

Re: Banned from Amazon for seemingly no reason!

It was a stealth account created by one of the sellers on here. It's worked fine for ages, then just suddenly was closed. My first thought was that they've found a way to link accounts, and it happened to another account of mine the same day, an old legit account that I haven't used in years. I feel very lucky that my main legit account hasn't been closed!

That email is usually due to them reviewing the documents that were submitted. In this case they probably did not pass.

I would reach out to your previous account seller and get their second opinion

Amazon, what a joke that site is, they possibly banned you so they could sell the items you were selling

Same with me - 2 accounts deleted - same email. Can you let us know who sold you the accounts?

If you guys are having issues with an account you purchased from a seller in the marketplace, contact your seller to get more advice on how to proceed, rather than posting in an open forum.

And how long did your accounts last - like the OP for 1 year?

Anyone that has issues with an account that has been purchased on the forum please make sure you send a PM to the sellers that the account was purchased from first and foremost

If your unable to work it out then please just send me a PM.

Oh wow, will definitely sub here to learn/read more.

I am looking to buy now, but seems ODD, if that is the right word, that a bunch are getting banned around the same time.. hmmm.

Re: Banned from Amazon for seemingly no reason!

Part of it is due to tax reporting. There are some aspects of your account that only get checked once a year

I would suspect that something was flagged during the yearly tax reporting process (they even send you tax reporting documents)

Which means your tax Id (or social security number) needs to check out along with a valid address to send your tax papers

I don't think their fiscal year ends in DEC so their reporting gets done before that

I've had an account banned for an invalid address that wasn't caught (by them) until they tried to send out tax papers. I called them and got it straightened out (enough for them to release my funds) but they kept the account banned for the invalid address violation

Re: Banned from Amazon for seemingly no reason!

A very common thing that could cause suspensions for the UK accounts is if your UTR number is not a valid one. So make sure to use a valid # if you're going to be making a stealth account.
