EIN Problems
 

I don't know the ends and outs of Amazon Ghost. I don't do a lot on Amazon. I only have one account, which isn't my original. They recently have requested an EIN. I got one online, but it won't take it. It keeps saying that the EIN does not match the (business) name, but I obviously know my business name and I'm copying the EIN directly. They are saying to get a "CP575" form to verify the name, but I'm not sure what good that would do. I know my business name :-) Any advice?

There is a typo somewhere. You have to provide Amazon with the business name you provided the IRS when you got the EIN #.

It must match 100% without any difference.

When did you get the EIN? It states that you can use the EIN immediately but might take up to 2 weeks to be able to do a match on it, as it takes that long to get into the permanent IRS records.

This is a good point I usually wait 30 days before adding

I didn't get the number until Amazon asked for it, but it has now been over 2 months. I can't even get past the page where you type it in. When I hit "Save & Continue", it immediately says "The Name and Tax ID provided do not match IRS records". I don't get it. I am typing the EIN directly from the confirmation from the IRS.
