Changing from Partnership to Limited company
 

Hi guys,

Looking for some advice

We've been selling on Amazon for many years and completed the verification steps about 18 months ago.

We then changed our company from partnership to LTD in August 2016, however we didn't want to upset the amazon account at a key time of the year going into Q4, therefore have not yet changed the account over to LTD and it is still showing as being partnership.

We are planning to do this now, however will this delay cause an issue with Amazon? Basically does it matter that I have left it from August - January to change it?

I would tread very carefully. I've heard multiple reports from credible members of the forum that changing account type i.e. LTD to Sole trader has limited their accounts.

Perhaps to be safe, use stealth Amazon accounts? For more info feel free to PM me.

JUST DONT DO IT.
There really isnt a reason for it unless youre SUPER SCRUPULOUS about your taxes in order
Just pay your taxes and keep your books in order.

That way, if your current account gets suspended, youre not linking another EIN number to that one account. Keep that new EIN fresh and unlinked.
