Creating new corporation - Agent of contact / officer issue
 

Hello, and thank you for your help in advance. Obviously, when you have a corporation, shareholder information is private, but Officer, President and agent of contact is not.

If I want to create a new Amazon account under a new corporation, when creating the new corporation, can I use my own name on these titles (such as officer) even though I have an Amazon account under my name? I would assume it's better to use a name other than mine, but that person would be legally liable for any legalities the corporation would be involved in IF that were to ever happen.

I understand I will use anyone's name to create the Amazon account along with the new Corporations name. BUT, can Amazon link this to my main current account because the new corporation will have my name under "Officer" ?

Any help here would be great. Thank you.

Already sounds complicated.

Just go back to website, create a new company with partnership. Get a new EIN number.
Start from scratch.

You think your name is unique but trust me, there are 500 other people with the same name. If you want, just slightly mispell it.

Amazon has millions of sellers. Imagine how many John Smiths there actually are selling. Linking a name is not gonna raise a red flag. Linking a name and an address or an IP or a company name or bank or credit card will.

1. After reading the book, I am choosing not to use my own name.

2. Tax stuff is complicated. We want to create a corporation for tax benefits.

Unless they look into the public information that you have filed with your state, they would never know the other names associated with the corporation.

Chances of them actually doing that seem very slim and unlikely. But its possible that they could if that is what you're asking
