Trying to be as safe as possible
 

Hello everyone,

My selling account was banned 2 years ago and now I'm trying to get back into it. I only plan on selling FBA.

Here's the list of things I plan on doing to insure I don't get banned:

- New chromebook will only be used for Amazon
- Tethering from iPhone to chromebook
- PO Box
- DBA for business bank account
- Debit card from business bank account
- EIN with DBA
- New prepaid phone

Am I missing anything? Should I use a completely random name when I make the Amazon account? I would like to be as safe as I possibly can.

It's more complicated than that, people get suspended for doing things that create unwanted attention, don't follow stealth rules, or assume their method is best than stealth.

If I've logged onto a suspended account with my phone in the past is it still reliable to tether from it?

Its risky because you could re-use the same IP

Personally I wouldn't risk it and either use a different ISP or get a fresh IP address

It all seems pretty good. But perhaps I like to be extra cautious (especially considering your going down the FBA route you dont want AZ holding your stock in the even of suspension) - so I would strongly consider getting a dongle exclusively for tethering.

This is because if you have AZ apps (shopping, kindle etc) on your phone and its linked to a previous suspended account, and forget about it, each time you generate an IP on iPhone, that IP will get allocated to both the AZ Apps and your new account on chromebook - and link the pair of them.

Try to keep things completely isolated. Good luck :thumb:

Gotcha, dongle seems to be the safest for me especially since I only plan on running 1 ghost account.

Do you think there's any difference in safety running dongle vs 24vc fresh and dedicated vpn?

I would go for 24vc - removes the hassle of logging IPs.

Yes that's same as dongles But still don't understand the point keeping ip record

There are a few things that you need to incorporate when using a VPN:
-Disable Flash
-Disable WebRTC / Install LeakPrevent

Both of the above will ensure your external IP doesn't get revealed.

Then setup a killswitch (instructions on 24vc website) - that disconnects you the moment VPN drops.

So that will ideally make you safe.

I just have mine so that if I am not connected to the vpn I cant do anything on the internet.

Hopefully my last question.

I have a DBA but when filing I used the same address that's already been associated with a suspended amazon account, is this a problem?

I've been reading a bunch of posts on the forums and most of them say you need to have a multiperson LLC for the EIN. Will a sole proprietorship with a DBA not work?

Probably not. Thats why most of them say to make the LLC online, make it multiple person, fill out the info for amazon so you pass the tax interview, then call up the irs or whoever and tell them that you just made a mistake and its a single member llc.

Someone else can chime in however.

Also yeah try not to use the same address. I believe some people will say to rent a P.O box and use that. I could be wrong

I have a po box but when I signed up for the Dba the county wouldn't let me use a po address.

I would love to get a llc but they cost so much money in California, like 1k after the tax. I don't think sinking that much money into my first stealth account is worth it

May I suggest buying an account then? Honestly you remind me of when I first got here. I didnt make an LLC because it would cost too much as well. I ended up just buying an account I do FBA. Down the line when I have more money I will make an LLC and new account
