chris100 | 01-13-2017 05:56 PM | Amazon UK credit card options What are UK sellers options when using a CC to open a stealth account?
Prepay cards are mostly toast.
Getting a genuine card will fail if it's linked to your banned address.
Is there another way or are UK sellers reliant on buying a CC in the forum? |
JamesNorth101 | 01-13-2017 05:57 PM | Re: Amazon UK credit card options Either
1 - Buy a VCC on the forum from the approved sellers
2- Use your own credit card. |
Re: Amazon UK credit card options A genuine card in your own name and address works fine most of the time. Best way to find out is by trying. Amazon don't care for the name/address, they just check the card is valid and there is sufficient balance (around £5 is an ideal balance).
Alternatively the forum marketplace has cards that have been tried and tested to work. |
chris100 | 01-15-2017 08:03 AM | Re: Amazon UK credit card options I thought part of the check made on a credit card is that the name and billing address match the card number?
Isn't this automatically done when they validate the card? |

So if you were a buyer, the card would be thoroughly checked and verified.
If your selling, and simply paying your monthly fees, their just interested in checking your card has sufficient balance and is active. Name, address etc. are not checked.
Your fees are taken from sales at the end of your billing cycle, where there isn't a sufficient balance from sales, it gets drawn from your card.
Hope that answers your question. |

So, as a seller, i just need a valid CC? The name and address used with that card is not important at the initial sign up stage? |

If 1 does not work, try another one. They have a pretty high rate of acceptance as long as they're proper bank cards. Just make sure to keep track of the cards you use and make sure to never use a card you used previously on an amazon account |

Hope that answers your question. | I confirm this is precisely correct. At least for major brands of credit cards (Chase, Citi,, etc), name and address do not need to match. |
