2017 Amazon Credit Card Issues It seems a number of people are having trouble with their amazon accounts and reporting issues such as Hello,
We removed your listings because your credit card information may no longer valid. You are currently unable to sell on Amazon.
Sellers on Amazon.com are not allowed to list items without a valid credit card on file.
To sell on Amazon.com, please update your credit card informations. You will be redirected to the credit card update page the next time you sign into your account.
Once you have updated your credit card information, please send a confirmation to seller performance team. This is occurring on US Amazon Pro accounts.
The reason you are getting this suspension or issue with your account is because Amazon is attempting to charge you Amazon Pro fees which are $39.99. A couple months ago, US Amazon Pro waived the first month in fees which allowed you to sell products and use your Amazon available balance to cover the fees. As of today, US Amazon pro accounts now require the first month of fees, which is $39.99 upon registration. After you pay the first month of fees from CC, make sure you have an available balance on Amazon by the following month, to cover the monthly fees in the future from your Amazon balance. Once you have updated your credit card information with a card that has the correct balance, simply appeal the suspension or email support.
Keep in mind every time you make any kind of billing change, like adding a bank account, or receiving a disbursement from amazon, you will be charged $1-2 for the US accounts and £1-2 for the UK accounts. These charges go back to your card within a few business days and they are only test charges. Here is a breakdown of the minimum amount you need on your credit cards for registration among different Amazon seller accounts:
US Amazon Individual Account - $5 VCC
US Amazon Pro Seller Account - $44 VCC
UK Amazon Seller Account - £10 |

I am asking that can I make Pro Seller Account on amazon.ca ( Using your VCC ) And latter I convert in amazon.com from the drop down menu which amazon provides.
In this case I have experienced that they charge the pro seller fees from the site from which you have registered ( amazon.ca Fees is Approx $25 USD while amazon.com fees is $39.99 USD )
They only charge single seller fees ( For E.g. If I registered through amazon.ca they will charge the fees in accordance with amazon.ca, no matter whether i sell on amazon.com latter )
Your VCC will work on amazon.ca as well ? To pay their Pro Seller fees ? |

Your VCC will work on amazon.ca as well ? To pay their Pro Seller fees ? | If you are registering amazon.ca and plan on selling in Canada and the US, you will need a worldwide VCC that works for Amazon (The UK Amazon CC can work for Canada occasionally). Then if you plan on converting amazon.ca to amazon.com, and you still plan on selling in Canada and the USA, you will need another worldwide VCC with at least $39.99 on it to cover the initial fees. If you know you want to start in amazon.ca, and eventually go to amazon.com and keep selling in Canada and the USA, get a custom higher balance worldwide VCC so you don't have to update it later on.
Enough balance on it to cover the first month of amazon.ca fees, as well enough balance to cover the first month of amazon.com fees. That would be your best move. You can also add your own credit/debit card to the account which would make your life easier! :canada: |

I purcased a card from xx on the forum.. It was $45 for setting up a Pro account.
Initially they rejected the card.. then we deleted it and relisted.. for some reason it worked that time.. so i was thinking all is fine and dandy.
Not so.
My account is still suspended under review.. they have not given a reason.. but l have heard they now insist the VCC has my address on it..
This is a new rule. See seller help "Update your credit card details"
How are we going to deal with this? :s :rip:
They also wanted proof of address.. we sent a Bank statement.. but they have not commented. I am hoping they respond to my queries very soon.
Tx |

Tx | That is most likely because the fees were originally denied at first with a gift card I assume. Its best to setup the account with a card that covers the first month of seller fees, rather than adding a card after its denied.
Did you initially setup the account with a VCC that did not have the funds to cover the fees?
The best you can do at this moment is to send them a message through the contact seller support button on your amazon account. Tell them you have updated cards. If they are requesting bank statement, then make sure the bank statement you provide them with has your amazon information on it. |

My account is still suspended and under review.
No reason has been given, but I suspect this is it..
Re VCC cards PLEASE NOTE NEW RULES 2017.
Why did my credit card have an error or have 'Invalid Information'?
If you receive a notification that the credit card information registered to your seller account is invalid, please check the following information:
• Billing address. This has to exactly match the billing address in your credit card statement.
• Check with the issuing bank to confirm that your credit card has not expired, that it has adequate credit available, and that there are no limitations on Internet charges for the amount that is being declined.
If you continue to experience problems with your card, try entering a different credit card. THEY REQUIRE ALL CREDIT CARDS TO BE IN THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF THE ACCOUNT HOLDER |

Thank you for the valued info.
Do you mean amazon will test charge your CC each time when they send disbursement to you?
Or they only test charge when you change your deposit method? |
| JamesNorth101 | 02-24-2017 11:23 AM | Re: 2017 Amazon Credit Card Issues Before you get a disbursement they will test charge your card. They don't do it everything though in my experience but you do need to make sure that you always have the funds available in case they do decide to issue the charge |

I have tested with real debit/credit cards and even those with matching billing information is still getting the invalid credit card error after registration. My guess is they are upgrading their systems currently which is causing a lot of problems with customers. Their staffing is also entirely flooded with people sending support messages so there are really long delays in hearing back from them. My advice is wait a few weeks and then try creating another account. Quote:

Or they only test charge when you change your deposit method? | They generally do a test charge every time you update any account information (like added a phone or bank account), or get a disbursement (money withdrawn to your bank account). |

Its making it very difficult to register accounts. If you do not have those documents wait a few weeks and see if Amazon changes the requirements. |

Thank you | It states they will charge the CC but I have seen it take it straight from balance.
As pro accounts just recently started charging card upon registration my guess is individual accounts will all be charged upon upgrading to Pro on the CC on file. My recommendation is to have a $45 CC added on all accounts to be prepared for these Amazon fees. |

Yes the card was issued from a seller here, and had sufficient funds.. we simply deleted it, and relisted the same card again.. wallah.. approved. ! |
Re: 2017 Amazon Credit Card Issues All Amazon accounts I make have a minimum of $45 to cover the 1st month of pro fees. Then you gotta deal with the document requests and verification. Right now they are still having delays. I have many accounts over 15 days still pending document review |

UK Amazon Seller Account - £10 | I want to open an Amazon Seller account in India (amazon.in) but I will be selling on Amazon US (amazon.com). For that I require a Amazon Seller
Worldwide VCC that can be used for both India and US. |
Re: 2017 Amazon Credit Card Issues So you want an Indian Amazon account, and you want to sell from that India account worldwide (including the USA). If that's true then yes you will need a card that will be able to accept charges from India/USA. |
| alekov | 04-15-2019 10:25 AM | Re: 2017 Amazon Credit Card Issues I just had my account go down for invalid credit card. It's not suspended, just I have no access until I update the Credit Card info. I called the bank that I had been using Debit Card for that account (stealth) and they said that "Visa" has refused the transaction because the information given did not match. I asked what that means, and they said something I entered during the transaction didn't match the account, maybe I made a mistake in the number or address or something. That is surprising as that card has been on the account for the past year without any problems. I tried re-verifying it on amazon, account was up for 5 min and went down again. Any ideas? The address on the account is different than the Amazon Stealth account address, just the same zip code. I always thought that Credit Cards on Amazon Accounts don't have to have the same name or address, and amazon only needed credit card number and expiration date of a valid credit card. Have things changed? What needs to match now? Full address match? Name on account match or doesn't matter? What should I do? I don't think I can change the name on my debit card, but I can surely change address to match my amazon stealth account... would that be enough? |
