LLC / EIN Questions
 

Hi Everyone,

I'm finally getting down to making my own stealth account.

When I apply for the EIN if I say I'm forming the company 6 months from now will the immediately give me an EIN? Also is it still okay to put multi-person LLC then call the IRS and change it / how much time do I have to do this?

Can't say for certain if you'd get your EIN instantly for a company with a delayed start date, but I would say probably.

You won't be able to change the type of company afterwards though. Right there on the EIN application page the IRS mentions that you'll have to apply for a new EIN if you ever change your company type. You can either put your 2nd company member now and operate as a multi-member LLC, or you can put just yourself and operate as a single member.

To get past the Amazon tax interview don't you have to put multi-member LLC?

Without having multi-member I thought you had to use your real name?
