Wrong 1099! Help Not sure what to do!
 

Last year one account had two different entinties managing it. November the new entity put in their tax info and changed the account. Amazon issued the 1099 to the old entity. We had run the accountant as a consultant for the first company until the wanted to drop amazon. However amazon sent the 1099 to the old company. They don't know yet. Most of the sales were to us not them. How would you fix this?

You would need to contact Amazon to resolve that issue

If they already issued the 1099 with the wrong information, you would need to reach out to them to get it corrected

had this happen to me a few years back it was a pain for my cpa she had to do all this extra paperwork with irs to correct the issue

the way amazon works they send 1099 when its added. so all prior sales will go to old entity and new sales after.
