amazon no longer accepts new applications for category approval
 

Hello all,
I have registered new amazon seller account(as individual) and wanted to sell few gadgets. When I've tried to get approval in electronics category the next measage appeared "You need to get approval before creating the listing but we are no longer accepting new applications.Does it mean that I couldn't sell in electronics category anything at all?anyone knows how to deal with this issue?

That is correct. Certain products/categories are closed at the moment for new sellers

You can check back in a month or a few months and see if that changes

Can try a different amazon platform as well - these categories vary per platform as well

Could it be the categories are closed to individuals but open for pro-sellers to apply?

Every now and then they close up categories as if they have a maximum quota met for a certain period of time. Pro sellers registered after a certain date can't sell certain products/categories. They do that pretty often around September for the holiday season. It comes and goes pretty randomly

I've yet to come across any categories that were closed to ungating on any of the pro accounts I've set up in the last few weeks. I'm planning on doing a few "electronics" ones in the next few days so will report back if I get any problems.

Time to stop beating a dead horse amazon is just a waste of energy to sell on they block all major categorize that can make you money. company is trash now need a new platform to sell on,

These companies always forgetting hw they got to this position in first place.... Walmart gonna put up a good attempt to upstage Amazon with FREE 2-day shipping and no yearly contract required.
