Watch out: I think Amazon may be doing some sort of sweep on listing descriptions
 

Any one of you ever tried this on Amazon? Probably:

Find some listing that's slightly different from the item you have, figure you'll note the differences in the listing details. Well, I would NOT do that any longer. I don't know if Amazon is just keeping a crazy sharp eye on me, but they are bumping listings for the slightest deviations. Something to watch out for.

You're better off saying less than more. Don't be that guy with three paragraphs of info in your listing details; you're likely to get your listing removed for some bogus reason.

They've always been like that. But they won't go looking on their own initiative. They only do that when they get reports. When that happens, the scrutinize the whole group for quite a while. Like a month or longer, they'll keep peeping in to see who's out of line.
