How to turn off remote images in gmail app in iPhone?
 

Anyone know how to do this? Please guide me.
I have search and doesn't seem to find a solution for it.

For now, I just deleted the gmail app and using the original mail app from the iPhone, it's work but somehow I don't see the notification show on the top when I got new email. Just by look at the mail app to see it.

Hope my accounts OK after this happen, been using this iPhone for 2 weeks now :(

Are you talking about disabling external images from showing?

If so, just do it on the web browser settings if you cannot find them in the app settings. That should hopefully disable images for your gmail app.

Make sure you update your app as they removed the option recently.

Then check under settings. You can also disable it via web browser and it should reflect via your app (if your using the latest version).

Yes, that is the one.
Yes, I did disable images on both on web browser and in iPhone mail app. Not the gmail app because I can't find it

I did both of that. Images still show in gmail app email :(

hmm... Im not too sure whats happening then.

If youve already viewed emails/images, I wouldn't worry too much. GMAIL sends them to you via their proxy servers. In other words, if you dont click them, they should be ok.

If this is a big issue for you, try to use an email app where you can disable images. Then add your gmail accounts to those.

That is what I'm doing now. But just wonder if anyone found a solution for the gmail app cause I like that more than the IOS mail app
