What sort of goods are popular on Amazon to get an account up and running and established?
Ideally something cheap that can be sold at a small loss if necessary.
Been looking round the house without much inspiration 🤓

I always tell my clients, if you really want to sell quick, and get feedback etc. - look into packaging related products.
Tape, envelopes, jiffy bags etc.
Every seller on Amazon, eBay, and other marketplaces needs them. So even though its quite saturated, sell it for no profit, and your bound to get quick sales.

From past experience it seems Amazon check the first item sold on a new seller account, making sure it doesn't breach any selling restictions.
Do you guys have any tips on how long to leave it before returning to selling risque items?
Make a few sales or is selling 1 item and waiting a while enough?
And i should stay below a $750 limit for the first month of sales?
Ofcourse if your account falls into review straight after registration (and it most probably will) they will go through everything with a fine comb.
But riskier (genuine) products should be avoided for the first few months. In other words, spend the first few months building a good reputation on the platform.

There is no set time frame it's always best to just sell low risk items as long as possible before slowly introducing higher risk products
I was hoping to list higher risk items sooner before my past customers had given up finding my listings again.
I still have access to a suspended account (for a limited time).
Too risky to send emails to past buyers pointing them to new account? Not sure if Amazon check emails?
Not really sure how Amazon check new accounts? Mine hasn't fallen into review yet. Presumably as i haven't sold enough?
I'm thinking they check the first sale on a new account and then again if there are a string of quick sales or a high value item? At some point they leave you alone as i had a good year of selling prohibited items. Perhaps it's good to get a review nice and early whilst you have safe items listed?
The problem i have right now is finding stuff to sell. Can't list music or clothing at present. I have listed a mixture of stuff that will probably never sell and placed a couple of higher risk items among them. I don't think they will be found without me pointing previous buyers to a link though.
This is where ebay/paypal works better. You have access to email addresses.
