im somewhat new to amazon and doing dropshipping and looking for a guide to get somethings cleared up
what im allowed to do and what not, willing to pay for guidance

No one is going to give you their secrets to success. Do your own research and figure out how to make money on your own. Also, this forum is mostly geared towards Stealth, not business strategies.

Hi

It is against Amazon rules for a Marketplace Seller to sell a item they do not have in stock and drop ship it to a customer (without authorisation).

They have no problem with a non-amazon seller buying from amazon to drop ship to a third-party-martketplace buyer (as long as they are not using prime shipping).

The simple version is:

You can't drop ship to amazon customers.
You can buy from amazon to drop ship to other customers if you pay the postage..

"Drop shipping, or allowing a third party to fulfill orders to customers on your behalf, is generally acceptable." (Read link below for further info).

You get the rules off amazon itself.

Then come back and ask questions based on what you have found.

Google these words. Amazon Seller Central. (for USA accounts).

Heaps of guidelines to help.

trust me i did that so many times
i always do before asking in a forum
so il ask here one important question regarding what im allowed to sell
i run into many cases of listing on amazon of product, for example a phone casing, that i can easily find it on aliexpress for example or alibaba, 100% sure its the same product
the difference is that on amazon , the one who start the listing grabbed that product and do one of two things - either photoshopped the image and put his store name on the product , crappy photoshop work for sure and can see that that it was added or he didnt touch the photos, just listed the item and under manufacturer/title put his store name, now my question is :
am i allowed to sell under that same asin ?
would that consider to be his brand now ? doesnt he suppose to make sure amazon restrict his asin so he the only one who can sell under new condition ?
when i asked seller support that, they just said look his brand on google to check if it looks real, seems like a stupid answer to me, should be a more reliable way to verify a brand name.

now im asking this as a dropshipper and as a future fba seller.

Unless you make a test purchase and verify yourself, you don't KNOW it's the same generic product. It's actually VERY easy to get YOUR "brand name" written/stickered/stamped onto a generic product if you buy in bulk. If that's what these guys are doing, Amazon will side with them, guaranteed.

Ok so if i want to do the same, sell by fba i just get the mfr to make a sticker with my brand name and il be protected by amazon?

If you're willing to pay for guidance then Googling "Dropship Amazon" will yield many results, many of which will be scammish but there may be some good companies out there.

If you pay for a trademark AND get the sticker it's a sure thing.

Sorry for my misleading statement earlier----I meant to say I wouldn't risk it, but really it's up the the mood of the seller support person answering the case unless there is a trademark.

Technically it's a violation of Amazon policy since your product doesn't match EXACTLY with what's being listed, but then again it's a sticker.

I c, ok thats what i need to find out then. And in my experience about seller support, i once asked about this before and they say that if the brand name is made up and no results come up on google then they dont really consider that as a real brand...

It can be a violation of policy because your product is listed against an ASIN that doesn't match exactly. Now you COULD get the manufacturer to use his exact label/brand/name and then argue its the same product.....but I wouldn't really advise it.

Some of you guys make me sick with these comments. You add no value to the thread. You just jump to conclusion and say Google it or no one is going to hold your hand/tell you their secrets. This guy clearly said he needs guidance. Help him out. Jeesh....

Ok now that my short rant is over. Azura check out Amazing Selling Machine. It's a great product. It's a course that covers Amazon in depth. Plenty of good reviews. I'm going though it myself right now. So far it's gold. It's packed with plenty of good info. It's not cheap but where there is a will there is a way [emoji6]

Of course every course has a little fluff in it that you may not need so you'll need to pick and choose what to retain. It will teach you how to list, sell, research for product to sale, how to contact suppliers ect.

All I did was state facts. This guy asked for guidance (not your secrets) and you added no value. Some people even bashed him. That's not right so I stood up for him and tried to help best I could. I'm sure he appreciated it.

@sax4 What did I do for him? Well let's see.

1. I wrote more than just one sentence.
2. I added value to the thread.
3. I actually spent time on my post.
4. I told him about one of the best known courses on Amazon that I'm actually using myself.
5. I didn't just tell him to google "drop ship Amazon" (worse advice ever btw). You're walking him right into a scam.
6. I actually read and understood his post before rushing to post something counterproductive.

I can go on and on but you get the point now.

@BigCj By your incompetent post I can tell you don't know what Amazing Selling Machine is. If I'm wrong then how does it make sense for me to be the owner of that product and be an active member here? Hopefully your post was just sarcasm. It's hard to tell on a forum.

Some of you forgot that you were once new to this Ebay/Amazon thing too. You needed help just like this guy. You didn't just stumble across everything you know on Google or by searching for everything and finding it in a book/forum. People helped you out and pointed you in the right direction. They probably even gave you their secrets once you built a relationship. There was nothing wrong with this guy asking for help.

To some people, yes it DOES make sense. This site gets a lot of traffic and if you can divert some of that to YOUR site or someone elses site, then who gains what? Not aspkin. :rolleyes:

150% true !!! so many people pay big money to learn how to make money with no effort .. they have the right method in front of them, but they not see ... and of course they fail as it is not possibel (on the long term). However, it is good for local business ;)

Damn $3500 ? Honestly I wouldn't do it. I know alot of guys who do these dropship courses that are legit and for way less. But not all are good but some are great. Not a long term strategy for sure and not for $3500 that's for damn sure.
