At what threshold does Amazon conduct a manual review, over x,xxx,xxx ?

I am not sure about amazon.com but in EU it's 15k Euros of sales when they do a review and request documents n stuff... They claim it's the law, however, being a lawyer I am not aware of any EU law that would make them ask for the details that they ask for. A manual review of the account could happen at any time, especially with new accounts. Amazon US kinda left me alone after the first year of smoothly selling on their website. Amazon EU will never leave you alone.

It's safe to say that if your account is 12months old, you have the green light to increase sales ?

I think if everything runs smooth and you got through the first reviews (or even got 'veridied') you can of course increase your sales. Just don't sell any ⊗⊗⊗⊗ bs and be very careful with what keywords you chose. I personally would check every keyword with the patent and trademark office before I list an item.

There is no limit, they can review you randomly at any time.
