Second Amazon account for family member
 

Have a family member (w/ their own bank account/address/etc.) who wants to sell on Amazon w/ me showing them the ropes. We don't live in the same household but I would go over almost every day, thus having overlap on the same IP.

TOS states 1 account per household. We live in separate homes. What to do here? I've read that you can email Amazon Seller Performance and get approval. What do you folks recommend?

I do not recommend trying to get approval from seller performance.

Instead, treat them like separate accounts that never overlap any information, especially the IP.

Keep each one under dedicated IPs.

The easiest way would be 1 laptop per Amazon account, and 1 different hotspot per laptop. That should keep both your accounts separate as long as you follow the other basic stealth principles to avoid linking them

Thanks for writing! We'll be going off one laptop -- I'll be managing most of it.

I do have hot-spot capabilities through T-Mobile, but I've already logged onto my own Amazon account via hotspot.

Given 1 laptop and a hotspot that has already been utilized, what's the next easiest method?

If you like the hotspot, just get a different hotspot provider. The largest ones in the USA are sprint/tmobile/verizon/att

Thank you. Here's the set-up in my head.

Laptop A - Home Comcast ISP
Laptop A - Newly bought Hotspot from one the carriers. I'm currently T-Mobile and tether to Laptop A quite often. Does this require one of the MiFi devices?

I'll make sure to use another browser dedicated to that family member account.

If you mean Laptop B then as long as the ISP is different than Laptop A you should be good to go :)

Thanks for writing, Elmo. To clarify - just one laptop. Seems like VMWare + Virtual Machine is next best option. How much does this route cost per month?

no problem buddy.

yes you can do multiple amazon with 1 laptop if you setup vmware and get fresh IPs per virtual machine via VPN

the cost depends on the IP plan you purchase. the vmware software does cost money but you should be able to find it for free online

you can also check out virtualbox which is free as well. serves the same purpose :thumb:

@billgraham, it's best if you setup the account properly too - Amazon Ghost guide outlines steps + many posts on this forum
