Amazon buyer "confirm your details" phone/utility bill/ID
Several months ago, Amazon started something new on some buyer accounts. They'll send an email like the one below.
This is NOT an AVS hold. They never ask for any type of bank statement.
This is NOT an invalid gift card hold.
This is a hold on new account, probably triggered by ordering volume or something. It even happens with a working VCC/AVS match, using legit gift cards.
Anyone been through this? Did you get unlocked by supplying a phone/utility bill, ID, or both? Hoping they'd just take a Verizon Wireless bill. I really don't want to have to supply them with my local utility company bill or my ID......
Is getting unblocked like the AVS hold, where they ignore your responses most of the time?
I'm welcome to receiving PM's if you don't want to reply. Quote:
