Recent brand Registry 2.0 changes and stealth accounts
 

Amazon recently updated their brand registry department, and created a brand registry dashboard, where sellers can log in and check on their registered brands (see link below), and get access to features that are not available on the regular seller dashboard.

In order to register for this separate Amazon dashboard I have to submit a form that requires my legal name, and company name. Is it safe to enter my stealth information? or can this registration trigger some sort of a review?

From my experience brand registry is not possible with stealth accounts, but then again I have never done it. This is only what I've heard from clients. Also curious what others have to say :thumb:

By brand registry you mean you have your own brand that you wanna sell on AMZ without having to use EAN/UPC (and getting rid of the Chinese copy cats), or do you mean that they allow you to sell a certain brand?

I want to use it for the former (i.e., a private label brand, created by me).

One thing I didn't clarify- I already have brand registry for some of my products, so its definitely possible with stealth. However, this question is in regards to a recent update to brand registry involving a separate dashboard for brand owners that was created very recently.

now you have to have a registered trademark, not a application but a fully registered mark. they are not grandfathering in the people who are in the first program aswell everyone will have to get into the 2.0 brand area so get a trademark now so in 6-12 months youll have what they want. because by them they may not even let you sell without one. they have been changing so fast to get rid of anyone who isnt a big corp.
