Hey all,

People are saying that they ask for Passport/ID on business accounts, but on the amazon forums people said when they submitted either of those, sp responded that they are not acceptable forms of id's. Can anyone clarify that has been asked and passed the new requests that are coming in on accounts?

Even if you submit documents for verification they are still denying applicants.

Amazon is a mess at the moment. Just keep trying and be persistent.

Just got a request for National ID + Bank Statement on an account I have had for over a year. I had switched it temporarily to Individual while it wasn't being used for a few weeks. Yesterday I switched it back to Pro and suddenly got the ID request as if I were a brand new seller. I've read Amazon may have recently started requiring it for all new Pro accounts. Is this true? Wondering if there is a way to avoid this red flag for ID + Bank on new accounts?

Yes, we went to upgrade and stopped as it warned us before upgrading that they would require those documents. What did you do?

At the moment, still mourning and scratching my head. Trying to think of someone who can help with an ID + statement. For one account with a China registered owner, it is even asking for a business license. I could've managed the ID on that one, but not the business license. The only other way I can see is to create an LLC.

What's the downside of just staying on the Individual Seller account rather than Pro. If you're switching to Pro, sounds like they'll always request dox now. But just sticking with Individual nothing is being requested.

Individual accounts you would be limited to 50 items sold before having to upgrade to pro

Did that recently change or something?

This past December I sold roughly 200 items on one stealth and wasn't asked to go pro, but these were all merchant fulfilled. Are you talking about specifics to FBA sales or just sales in general? Because now I'm worried. I've been grinding the past two weeks sending all kinds of stuff to FBA and within the past 10 days I've gotten around 40 sales and spent $1k stocking up on products to sell via FBA.

Sorry for the confusion, after 50 items you have to provide tax information. That is what is required on initial pro registration as well. You don't have to upgrade to pro, but you do have to enter tax info passed 50 items on the same calendar year

oh gotcha. i've got an EIN attached which is linked to my SSN and that seems to be working as they've never requested anything beyond that.

doL so what you are saying is the EIN paperwork and/or business license was accepted without any ID or passport?
