Re: ID Verfication There is no ID alternative. You must be prepared to provide all the following documents as they can be requested at any point
1. ID
2. Utility Bill
3. Business license
4. Bank statement |

Re: ID Verfication The PITA part is even if you do provide them, they're inconsistent with what they accept and reject. I have many clients that have been reporting a success rate of around 50% of being approved after submitting the requested paper work. If they reject your seller application, you can also kiss goodbye the $39.99 seller fees that was charged to the account upon registration. You can get them to refund those seller fees if your account fails approval with enough emails, but they will only credit the $39.99 onto your Amazon account which is useless.
If you are hit with the business license request, be prepared to wait over 30 days to get a response as that department is heavily backed up.
In short, Amazon is a PITA |
| shalomcity | 06-06-2017 06:05 PM | Re: ID Verfication It is PITA. Even beyond what i have experienced. Two accounts had different requests. Pray and wait. All you can do. Their metrics feel tighter to. Last year was so much better. Now You have to perfect. S--rew the Consultants at Mckinsey the Bezos hired. Its all about 5 cents a order to him. |

Seems we are being punished for being in USA?
Curious if any outside of USA/UK sellers have any of this grief to deal with? |
Re: ID Verfication Yes you do still need to provide those documents regardless of what country you register under. |
| amzn4life | 06-11-2017 07:28 PM | Re: ID Verfication What is their idea of a US national ID? Driver's license, passport or SS card? |
| GhostOfAmazon | 06-13-2017 12:05 AM | Re: ID Verfication ^
Picture ID issued by a state or federal government. (Passport, DL, etc) |
| Gamefreak | 06-15-2017 11:08 AM | Re: ID Verfication can u block out any info from the ID? address perhaps? |
Re: ID Verfication If you block info you will decrease your chances of passing verification |
| Superfly101 | 06-15-2017 06:19 PM | Re: ID Verfication How are you handling requests for multiple accounts? Have you provided an ID with suspended info before and they accepted it?
People on the AZ forums are saying they are rejected their ID's saying that that they do not accept national forms of ID or passports, so i'm confused |

4. Bank statement | I have seen nothing clear on this in the guide or on the forums. You say to be prepared to provide these 4 things. But, how? How do I provide these 4 things when they don't exist? |
| verbalseduction | 07-12-2017 07:25 AM | Re: ID Verfication Find a way to make them exist ;) |
| Superfly101 | 07-12-2017 10:38 AM | Re: ID Verfication How long after you upgraded did they start coming after you for id and license? |
Re: ID Verfication They can ask for verification at any point after upgrading, most of the time right away as you do it. |
| slyfone | 07-12-2017 08:37 PM | Re: ID Verfication I'm assuming that if you register as an LLC they will still ask for ID. How does that work if you have never given them your name? |
| Superfly101 | 07-13-2017 07:21 PM | Re: ID Verfication They want an ID of the owner for that LLC. To try and find if you have other seller accounts and link you. Its never for the sellers benefit, these hoops are for AMZ's benefit |
| Gamefreak | 07-13-2017 08:06 PM | Re: ID Verfication So i just went through this for my business and they ask for owners or managers info. I sent them my ID blocked out my address as its already in system (didnt seem to have issue with that). they accept everything and I'm back to selling. I had bank account in company name and utility bill and everything else was legit and matched |
| howard292 | 07-13-2017 11:33 PM | Re: ID Verfication Are you stealth? I assume so, that being the case how were you able to give them your actual ID and utility bill, didn't they have your real name and address which would link you to your previous acccount? |
| Superfly101 | 07-17-2017 05:24 PM | Re: ID Verfication When did they ask Gamefreak? After upgrading to pro? |
| e2free | 07-17-2017 06:39 PM | Re: ID Verfication I never heard this accepted id where you removed your address, maybe you lucky |
| Superfly101 | 07-17-2017 08:24 PM | Re: ID Verfication Yeah you got lucky, lol..If i was on SP, i'd be like this cat has something to hide, why cant i see his mailing address on his ID? But kudos that it worked out =). |

i haven't provided my actually ID to amazon EVER until this. Not even my real name under a sellers account or buyers account where everything matched whats on my ID
They didnt seem to make a big deal about the address thing as they said any "manager" of the business can provide ID to verify as long as their name is added until the return address section
as in business name and below that your name |

so you didnt have to change the actual name you registered with just add the name in the return address area did you have to change the address to the one on the ID aswell? and did you take the name out after you were verified? to keep the name off amazons radar? because im wondering if a person can be a manager for several different stealths?
thanks |

thanks | no i didnt have to change address to match my ID as i actually blocked out my address from the ID as it matches one of my other amazon accounts i have running right now.
I doubt they would allow same "manager" for several accounts. |
| arush | 08-13-2017 02:22 AM | Re: ID Verfication I have a question along these lines
Here is a scenario:
Let's say you have account#1 in the US (verified and older on Amazon.com) using address #1 for business entity #1.
Then you have account #1 in the UK (verified and older on Amazon.co.uk) using address #1 for business entity #1.
The business moves and you update address #1 to address #2 in the UK on account #1 (amazon.co.uk).
US account #1 stays the same way - with the address remaining unchanged (sticking to address #1).
Now you open a new stealth account (account#2) on Amazon.com (USA) using address #2 and business entity #2 due to the requirements with utility bills, etc.
Can Amazon.com link address #2 to Amazon.co.uk with address #2 being used there on UK account #1? (There is no UK account #2 - yet).
Thanks! |

So are you saying that Amazon requires ID and address verification for all new amz professional sellers?
I remember my brother passed from Pro to regular 2 months ago and when he wanted to come back to professional again amz asked for personal info. |
