Creating UK Amazon Account
 

Is the following thoughts/expectation correct? I am new to creating Amazon UK accounts (Please don't question my basic competence like IP -- I am a veteran in US account so I know the stealth stuff).


What happened to me:
My account got immediately suspended after I try to open an account (i.e. submit CC, bank card and pass phone verification). I see the banner that asked me to provide ID, proof of address. I am not sure whether Amazon is really giving me a chance, or whether my account is already toast.

What I think should happen:
My account is approved and I can sell up to GBP15,000. When I get close to the limit, I will be asked to provide ID, proof of address and tax doc etc.


Is what happened to me actually perfectly normal? What will be the result if the right procedures are used?

Policies has changed recently. New pro sellers must submit identity and bank statement to verify.

There is something that is flagging your account in the creation method which is causing the instant suspension

UK accounts cannot be made the same way US accounts are made. The process is different and it will take you lots of trial and error to figure it out.

Took me months :)

Hello,

Same problem for me so i submit my id proof and address proof then they are restore my account with in 24 hrs.
You can submit your required documents then your account fully restored.

So you are saying everyone gets suspended upfront until they provide doc? That makes me feel better...

Are you saying for Amazon UK there is ways to avoid instant suspension, and sell up to GBP 15,000 without providing doc?

If you are getting instantly suspended that is not normal.

That happens when something is wrong in your creation method or they are detecting similarities to your system (it has created too many similar accounts)

Ahh... OK.

Looks Amazon UK is smarter than Amazon US...

I wouldn't say smarter, just additional/different steps must be taken when creating.

Lots of trial and error will reveal the solution :thumb:
