Will a suspension affect different marketplaces?
 
I have a seller account and today received an email that my account was closed. I sell on both Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. It appears only my Amazon.com account is currently suspended while my Amazon.ca account is not.

My Amazon.com account is fairly new and only had a couple FBA items while my Amazon.ca account is much older and has >$50,000 annual sales with 800 SKU's in FBA.

Has there been cases where a suspension would affect just a single marketplace and not the other or would it normally affect the entire account on all marketplaces?

I am aware of several violations I made so I cannot say what triggered it and Amazon did not disclose in their email what I did wrong.

I was sent the seller code of conduct with this notable information: "Your account has been closed due to violations of our Seller Policies and Seller Code of Conduct. We will not be providing further information related to this decision and have determined that we will not be reinstating this account."

Is it worth trying to appeal the decision?

Definitely appeal if you have a good chance of being reinstated.

If you're suspended in 1 marketplace its for only that marketplace.

I have seen that lead to all marketplaces being suspended, but I have also seen 1 suspended marketplace not affect others... So it varies.

I responded to their seller-performance email asking if this will affect both marketplaces. If I appeal I will citate one of the reasons I think I may be suspended which was a prior Policy Warning I was given by Amazon.

Please keep us updated. I was suspended in 2015, our main account (non stealth) and only received the ban on the our .com account granted we never listed on the other marketplaces either.

If it turns to VIP, than please send pm. For the account I referenced earlier, I check that account all the time, I still use as buyer account. No other marketplaces were suspended, only .com

Which is odd(for the original acct), the reason why, because on one of our stealth accounts (suspended for ip violation) immediately received individual emails from each marketplace stating banned (.mx, .ca, .com) three emails.

Thank you your clear and concise response. If I have two account per se, one selling strictly on .com, and the other selling on .mx, .ca (none on .com). Do these accounts still have a chance of being linked granted they are not selling the same products in the same marketplace ?

It does not matter if they are "linked" or not.

Your account on .mx or .ca or .com or wherever is judged by THAT sites Seller Performance, which is an ENTIRELY different team than the other sites. (To my knowledge).

What I can state as FACT is that your seller privileges on one site do not affect other marektplaces, unless they are the same country (.mx accounts can affect other .mx accounts, for example)

I can't recall, but I BELIEVE my old .ca account shared the same bank account with my now suspended US account.

But the bottom line is the accounts are ENTIRELY separate on all fronts.

Going through old memories / emails so im resurrecting this thread...

GhostOfAmazon is incorrect here.

My Amazon.com marketplace was suspended and my Amazon.ca went down too about a month later. The email they sent was:

"You have opened a new account after we removed your option to sell on our site. This is against our policies. As a result, you may no longer sell on Amazon.ca."

So if lf one marketplace is suspended, they all go down.
