Feedback Requests

I have seen people over and over saying to request FB on your orders. In dealing with eBay, I've always seen that as a terrible idea. You might get someone to leave fb who wasn't going to, but you're also stirring up negative fb. I've always found that often someone will not really be satisfied, but just moved on and wasn't going to deal with it. When you message requesting fb, if entices them to complain and to leave negative fb. Even if you stir up some + FB, it's not worth it if it ever leads to a single - FB. Thoughts?

Re: Feedback Requests

That's the basics of it.

If you believe your product is A1 and rarely would have issues and know you provided an excellent transaction, go for it.

If your product is sketchy or tends to be defective etc, don't do it.

If you sell on amazon also I'm pretty sure they automatically send feedback requests after 30 days regardless.
