Bank question: Does Amazon UK and US share info?
 

My question is: my bank account is used for an Amazon US account, and that account went down. recently Can I "re-use" that account number for receiving fund on Amazon UK/Japan?

I know many people would say this is dangerous (theoretically, I agree), but a source (which I highly respect) asserts the opposite.

Can you guys please share your experience?

From my experience yes they share information and re-using any same information across platform is not recommended

On the other hand I know people that swear they do not share information given they have re-used information before

My opinion... Don't risk it over a bank account, its easy to get more of those :)

Apparently they don't, but I personally wouldn't risk it

Can't speak for bank accounts, but I can say with certainty that a US Marketplace suspension has no effect on the UK accounts.

Don'tknow about seller accounts but they sure share infoamong buyer accounts. Using my US buyer account I have been able to buy stuff from the .uk .de and .jp sites using my account name and password; Amazon already had my shipping address and credit cards on file.

They don't share seller account info. My 1st amazon account was banned from UK (due to problems with delivery to Italy) a year ago, but my US account was still active. Same seller info, including bank account number.

The only thing that will get you banned as far as I know is using the same bank account and email

They didn't share 2 years ago but they do now you may have made the account before they started sharing

I have a banned Amazon on .com in my name and made .co.uk with my legit info and it worked still active I tried doing the same with my girl recently instantly banned and I know how to make stealth

I have used several bank accounts on UK and US and the US respective UK account always survived when the other got banned. Also adding the bank account of a formerly banned US account to an UK account isn't a problem at all.

So I used same name and details for each and it works like a charm.

My question would be if I had signed up on AMZ US with the name "Bogus Trumper" and would sign up on UK with the name "Fedor Felaki" but both shoare the same bank account if that would bring any trouble... any info appreciated. You can PM me if you don't want to make the info public.

It used to be that you could use the same bank across all platforms, though not now when I last checked about 9months ago
