Proxy ASINs to prevent linkage
 

I understand Amazon will link accounts based on having the same asins on both accounts and theres a recommended discrepancy in ASINs between 3:1 to 15:1 to prevent linkage.

Questions:

1) Can you upload asins to inventory but never actually put a sellable quantity? For example, you can upload inventory using the inventory uploader but when you do the quantity remains at 0 until you upload a quantity file. Would uploading a sheet of thousands of ASINs with a quantity of 0 work to prevent ASIN linkage? Would it your recommended ratio of previously used ASINs to unique ASINs?

I have 2000 ASINs on my account so I would require 6000 to 30,000 unique ASINs to prevent ASIN linkage between accounts.


2) Does anyone know any sources where one could require a database of ASINs I could repurpose for the above scenario?

3) Would ASIN linkage permeate across .CA and .USA marketplaces? Or would the marketplace provide a buffer between any sort of linkage while using the same ASINs?

From my experience, you want to actually sell different products at a ratio of 20:1 or greater.

Just listing them may provide a small benefit, but you want to actually be selling different items if you truly want to avoid linkage.

Any information on linkage between marketplaces (Canada and USA) with same ASINs?

If I have 2000 ASINs in one category, id have to also have 20,000 other ASINs in other categories to divert linkage?

Do you have any referrals for ASIN databases I can use to use upload to my account to provide a buffer from linkage?

What if you are selling private label products and change the ASIN of a product that was suspended and sell it on a new stealth account with a new UPC? Would that draw attention? What's the best way to go about that?
