So i requested a cash out from Amazon ,

I received an email from Amazon saying your cash out will take 6 - 10 working days ,

A number of days later Amazon decide to put my cash out request on hold and place my funds on hold for a 30 day period,


What frustrates me here is that Amazon holds money for atleast 1-6 days before even attempting to transfer it into the bank account.

Amazon doesn't just do that arbitrarily. If your product and transactions look fine, a request to transfer funds into your bank will be processed by Amazon within a couple of hours, then a couple days for the whole thing to show up on your bank balance.

If something looks odd to Amazon, they might but your funds on hold for 45 days.

I am a new user and have sold well over 20 items (low price)
but have still not received any seller ratings from buyers .

Amazon stated my funds were on hold for 30 days pending investigation.

Amazon basically want to make sure i have posted my items and i am honest.

I have posted all my items so i guess i will just have to wait for things to go through.

The worst thing in the world for me to happen would be for Amazon to find a ' discrepancy ' on my account and refund all my orders.I would end up loosing lots of money and would not get my goods back.

I don't mind waiting 30 days but if Amazon were to refund all my orders i'd be pi.ssed!

I hope to God that i have covered my tracks and that Amazon can't find a link to a suspended account , i know that if they do they may refund all my orders and i will be manic !:doh:

amazon won't refund your orders unless someone opens a claim. the worse the can do otherwise is hold your money for 90 days.

I had an item listed on amazon that I recently lowered the price on. I didn't realize that I would sell so many within 2 days. They put this suspension on my account also. I have 2 questions.

The day before I got suspended, I did a fund disbursement. Will amazon reverse the funds that were disbursed and put a hold on it, or will they only hold the funds that are still in the account that have not been disbursed?

If I ship the items and get delivery confirmations, will amazon actually release the funds? How about if I get some low raitings for slow shipping, now that they have made me hesitant of shipping the items?

Another side note:

Amazon did send me an email already saying that

We initiated a transfer to your checking account on 05/19/2009.
Funds usually arrive within 3 - 5 banking days, but times vary by bank.

Does this mean I am in the clear for that disbursement?

usually they can stop payments they said they initiated within a 48 hr period. so if you were suspended any payment made 48 hrs ago is now withheld.

Thanks for your response. I guess I will not ship the items and refund the money. I'm not going to chance of them deciding if I deserve the money or not after everything is said and done.

I was just Blocked for the same thing
