Using my GF 10+ yr selling acct, need to change EIN - TERRIFIED
 

So I have been using my girlfriends 10+ yr old selling account. It has daily payouts, grandfathered in categories, brands. It's priceless. I am doing 60k+ a month and I need to get it switched out of her social. I finally registered an LLC and EIN so I can get it switched over as its long overdue. It has been in her social. I have seen horror stories of getting suspended when changing EIN or bank info.

I am on the step to change to EIN. It is asking "partnership" or "LLC". I registered the EIN as partnership as I have seen that is best, and will change later.

On the Amazon tax form setup, do I use partnership? It is also asking for the signature at the very bottom, which it states to sign as the name on the EIN registration. Do I still put her name here?

Terrified of a suspension...

Parnership? On here people talk about LLCs for the ability to be anon when it comes to a tax lookup, that way they dont see a name attached to the EIN just the name of the business.

Ideally you want a single member LLC.

The name you put there as well as the address is the exact name and address that is on the form the IRS gave you when you registered your company with them

Every letter must match exactly with what you provided them, otherwise it will get flagged if information does not match.

Do you mean to use single member on Amazon tax interview question form? I registered the EIN as partnership to hide the name. As far as the signature portion, would that be the LLC name or the name used on the EIN, which is my name?

You can do multi-member and it wont have to match by exact name if you are worried. I'm not sure if it will flag you and suspend you if you change ein. I have tested an account by changing the owners name and address and phone number all at different times and nothing happened.

you will be in for a rude awakening when amazon sends to 2 1099. One with EIN for sale after EIN has been added and one with total for pre EIN sales. I'm assuming you already hit the 20k limit long time ago for this year...
