A-Z Claim Question
 
I have a customer who just added an A-Z claim. I haven't provided the tracking number when the item was shipped but I have a tracking number. Customer wasn't home when USPS was about to deliver it. Is appealing and adding the tracking number a good idea?

You should try to resolve this with the customer first.
If the tracking is showing as attempted delivery but there was nobody at home, you should explain this to the customer and either arrange or have them contact USPS to arrange re-delivery at a time when they will be available.
Once the buyer understands the situation and that you are not at fault, they should hopefully retract the A-Z claim.

Is there a contact number still showing on the order page? It may be easier to deal with via telephone.

The buyer should have got a card for ups attempted delivery, it will get delivered if they contact the number, maybe suggest a Saturday delivery if the work all day.

Try and speak with the customer first. A to Z claims are mostly buyer favorable in such cases.

As expected the nutjob was able to send me 3 emails and open an A-Z claim but of course after he got his cash back, he wouldn't ever respond to any of my emails. The item has been delivered. I'll just let it go...
