I cant get find an answer in the Ghost Book™ or anywhere in the forums

Uploading the same inventory from a suspended account to a stealth account requires you include a ratio of dummy inventory for dilution (4:1 - 10:1).

The question I cant get answered is: Does it matter if this dummy inventory is uploaded but has a zero quantity? I need a 4:1 ratio on 2000 ASIN's and I do not have 8000 real ASIN's I can sell so they will all have a zero quantity.

Additionally, I will be sending real inventory to FBA. The result will be (over several months) 2000 FBA inventory with a positive quantity and 8000 dummy ASIN's all with 0 quantity as Merchant Fulfilled.

Once again, can one upload dummy ASIN inventory but never actually update the quantity past zero?

I don't know anyone that has tried, but IMO it seems like something that Amazon would catch onto. I wouldn't risk it

10:1 is also the minimum. 4:1 wont be enough

Darn. This is what I dont want to hear :juggle:. Im going to have to keep going with dummy asins with 0 quantity as there is no chance I'd be able to fufill the ratio with actual inventory.

Why not create some asins with products which are rediciously overpriced. Set the stock to 1. Even if someone buys, you might find the item you just sold 10 times cheaper on ebay. Buy it there and send it.

This plan seems feasible.

Please consider my situation, 2000 current asins in my suspended account would equate to 20,000 unique asin's as dummy inventory, all priced at their exorbitant $1000 - $2000 price range to ensure non purchase.

Others recommended the ratio be with other asin categories. I have a 100,000 large asin list of random items from Microwave rotating bowls, springs, lamp shades, etc which I can use. I'll have to make sure I price these to a stupidly expensive price to ensure no one buys, especially in the case I run into an eccentric item which is in fact very expensive and someone does attempt to buy and I am unable to fulfill such as a 1967 Lamborghini Bar Draft Nozzle for $1500 :surrender:

I do have other massive asin lists in my category which is books which I can easily price out of the market for softcover fiction novels for $1000 which I know no one would buy but this does not follow the above practice of having the ratio in other categories.

I do still wonder though if the quantity matters and taking it to the these measures matters.
