Can Amazon force you to pay up fees in suspended account?
 

Can amazon somehow charge your bank account for the past due fees in a suspended account? I cancelled the credit card already but bank account remains. Also the account was not stealth but a legit account that I had for years. They have been asking me to pay the past due amount but i just ignored it, today they are asking me to verify the bank account details or they will suspended my account (which is already suspended anyway).

I would hope that they can take the money that you owe them. On one hand I want to ask why you refuse to pay them what you owe them, but then I think about all of the money that they keep on suspended accounts. But if you really wanna dodge them, why not close the bank account?

While you should pay the dues owed, Amazon ironically doesn't seem to dip into the bank account like PP does when money is owed....

Its possible but generally they do not, they just close the account.

I heard if you don't pay the fees after few days you can't login is this right? Means deleted account

I don't have much experience with not paying fees as I generally like to pay my dues...

But I imagine if you cannot login to an account due to a negative balance, they probably closed/blocked your account

I haven't heard this per say though...deleted account is usually because of some kind of linkage...

Close the bank account. Amazon will attempt to withdraw the owed funds from your bank account. Theres been many threads here (and other sites) experiencing Amazon doing this.

Best to just close the account attached to Amazon and open a new account at the same bank (if you are partial to your bank)

For those who don't like shorting Amazon: I generally agree on this, but anyone who's had funds stolen by Amazon will change their tune in a heartbeat....lose a few grand to them then tell us how bad it is to not pay them back for 200 dollars (or whatever amount) for an A-to-Z claim. lol
